Terms of use for the IONITY app and payment website
1. Contractual Object

I1.1 IONITY GmbH IONITY GmbH, Moosacher Str. 84, 80809 Munich, Germany (“IONITY") is the operator of a Europe-wide ultrafast charging network for electric vehicles. These terms of use apply to the use of the IONITY app and the IONITY payment website.
1.2 IONITY App and Payment Website
With the help of the mobile application IONITY app and the browser-based IONITY payment website payment.ionity.eu, IONITY enables drivers of electric vehicles who have full legal capacity and can enter into legally binding contracts (“Users”) to find, navigate to and charge at IONITY operated charging points (“IONITY Charging Points”).

1.4 Changes to Terms of Use
IONITY reserves the right to update these terms as necessary due to legal or technical changes. Users will be notified by email and in the IONITY app.

The language of this contract is German; this is an English translation.
2. Technical Requirements and Mobile Data
2.1 App Download
The IONITY app can be downloaded from app stores. Users should ensure their devices meet minimum technical requirements.
2.2 Discontinuation of Older Operating Systems
IONITY will notify users if support for older operating systems is discontinued.

Users can access the payment website by manually entering the URL or scanning the QR code at IONITY Charging Points.
2.4 Mobile Data Costs
Users bear any costs associated with mobile data access required for the app.
3. General Obligations of the User
3.1 Use of Charging Points
Users are expected to use IONITY Charging Points with care.
3.2 Reporting Damage
Users should inform customer service if they notice damage or defects at the charging points.
3.3 Reporting User-Caused Damage
If the User causes damage to a charging point, they must report it promptly.
3.4 Prohibition on Source Code Manipulation
Users are prohibited from accessing or modifying the source code of the IONITY app or payment website.
4. Conclusion, Term, and Termination of the IONITY App User Agreement
4.1 Registration Requirements
To use the app for purchasing charging current, users must register and accept the terms of use.
4.2 Agreement Duration
The user agreement is indefinite, but users can terminate it by deleting their account.
4.3 IONITY’s Right to Terminate
IONITY may terminate the agreement with four weeks' notice if the app service is discontinued.
5. User Account and Rights of Use
5.1 Account Information Maintenance
Users must keep their account information up-to-date.
5.2 Account Security
Users should not share account credentials with third parties.
5.3 Notification of Unauthorized Access
Users must inform IONITY if they lose their smartphone or suspect unauthorized access to their account.
5.4 Right to Use the App
The app is provided for the duration of the user agreement with certain restrictions on transferability.
6. Blocking of the User Account and Exclusion from the App
6.1 Temporary Blocking
IONITY may temporarily block accounts for missing payment data or other contractual violations.
6.2 Resolution of Blocking
IONITY will lift the block when the issue is resolved.
6.3 Permanent Blocking
IONITY may permanently block accounts in cases of severe or repeated violations.
7. Charging of Electric Vehicles
7.1 Individual Contracts for Charging
Users can enter individual contracts for charging through the app or payment website.
7.2 Vehicle Compatibility
Vehicles must be equipped with compatible inlets to use IONITY Charging Points.
8. Ad Hoc Charging via the IONITY App

Users can enter contracts through the app for ad hoc charging.

10. Invoicing and Payment Conditions
