Your mission
IONITY is a joint venture of BMW Group, Ford Motor Company, Hyundai Motor Group, Mercedes Benz AG and Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche, plus Blackrock. Our goal is simple: Building a high power charging network for electric vehicles along major highways in Europe.
Our headquarters are located in Munich, Germany, with additional offices in Dortmund and outside of Oslo, Norway. But we also welcome remote work from 24 European countries.
We are seeking a new hands-on infrastructure architect to support the IONITY business growth in Germany as well as remote support of other European countries.
- Assist the roll-out of Ultra Fast Electric Vehicle Charging network in the UK and wider European region in time, quality and budget
- Core role and responsibility is to make the site concept design and ensure planning permit application
- Design and define the layout of the future IONITY charging stations (Designs to account for ground investigation surveys and land title boundaries)
- Manage set of suppliers and sub-contractors to enable concept designs. Includes, but not exhaustive, ground investigation works and planning permit applications.
- Manage the work package one designers, ensuring detailed civil and electrical engineering design is completed for each site.
- Provide a comprehensive reporting to Management Team about status of roll-out of designs and planning permit applications
Your profile
- Qualified architect with 5 years+ post qualification experience
- Qualified in using CAD
- Can commission and interpret ground investigation surveys
- Production of 3D renders
- Good appreciation of land conditions and civil works
- In depth understanding of all legislation, regulations, working practices and other codes of practice relevant to the role, including CDM.
- Excellent project management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of designing infrastructure/building projects on time and on budget, plus ability to develop, refine and manage comprehensive site diligence
- Experience working with private and public property owners and process management of obtaining all necessary approvals and permitting authorities
- Target oriented work style, pragmatic problem solving skills and high ability to communicate and negotiate successfully.
- Is self-motivated, works with initiative and has an interested in the decarbonisation of transport.
