OT Cybersecurity Expert (f/m/x) – High Power Charging Network

Your mission

As OT Cybersecurity Expert (f/m/x), you will join our IT/Information security team in their mission to secure the IONITY high power charging network. The focus of this role will be the creation and continuous monitoring and improvement of an OT cybersecurity environment (scope on backend connection to charging station 1-1 and grid with all assets involved), based on or aligned to actual national and European cybersecurity legal obligations and frameworks. As internal consultant, you will be the go-to person for all security related topics regarding our charging network and our chargers. Together with security experts from our hardware supplier, you will ensure a high security level of our operational technology.

  • Developing and continuous improvement (PDCA) of an OT cybersecurity environment
  • Regular system monitoring and risk assessments
  • Consultancy and training of internal colleagues and external partners
  • Connect and harmonize an OT cybersecurity environment to existing SOC / SIEM / ISMS
  • On-duty security line shifts (weekly / remote)
Your profile

  • Professional qualification or degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a related technical field
  • Experienced in managing OT cybersecurity aspects based on IEC 62443 or NIST SP 800-82 standards
  • Experienced to perform cybersecurity risk assessments specific to OT systems and environments
  • Experienced in handling related cybersecurity norms and national / European legal obligations
  • Experienced in structured documentation of cybersecurity related content (e.g., ISMS principles)
  • Knowledge of securing information technology of OT networks (Segmentation, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems IDS/IPS, Network monitoring)
  • Knowledge of security monitoring and alerting tools / principles
Desired:
  • Experience in conducting OT cybersecurity assessments / audits / consultancy
  • Experienced in monitoring and securing an OT network architecture
  • Experienced in working with JIRA/Confluence, KANBAN and agile tools and processes
  • Knowledge of common technical e-mobility charging regulations, protocols, and best practices
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., TISAX / ISO27001)
  • Knowledge of SOC procedures
  • Knowledge of ICS/SCADA operation
  • Understanding of ICS components, including SCADA systems, PLCs, DCS, and other OT devices
